granite dress

My first dress made from basic pattern. The photoshoot took place in an extraodinary place- thearter that burned down in 30s in Derby. It had a massive fence around it, so had to climb over and hope that police wouldnt come, was rather creepy.
I experimented with a batique technique (wax on fabric, which leaves marks on the fabric after its dyed) and dyed it black, however after all i realized, that it was polyester- which shouldn't be dyed, so it went wrong. However it was a fortunate mistake, as it gave fabric a much more interesting effect, rather than the normal effect batique should've had (black with white lines), like when penecilin was discovered (but we're not gonna go into that).
The look of the fabric was inspired by granite stone- grey with chaotic yet orgonized lines- wonder of nature.

channel inspired apron

guess its a contradiction as coco channel has never been a housewife or a wife at all nor she ever had children... she said she was married to fashion and her business, she was always an independent woman with a mind of her own, whilst its usually housewives that wear aprons, interesting... well this was another college project

alice in wonderland cake body accessory

a styled photoshoot with myself, photographed by grace bowering... this was meant to be a cake bra, but it turned out to look really silly, so Im guessing its a sort of cake banner with bows, can also be worn as a very short crazy cake skirt... but hey, its alice in wonderland project!
Made these two cakes using various techniques, such as hand embroidery "eat me", quilting for the "base" of the cake, and then stuffed it like a toy... two yummy cakes

papper

a transformer paper garment, robotic, dinasaur inspired, teapot for a head? that can also be used as an accordian... repeat pattern project at college

zazou hood

this is a hood I made, which is a species of an exotic headwear of the future...

Alexander McQueen's Final Show

- Stephan Lochner

I thought this collection was very close to me, because I am very inspired by rococo/baroque styles of renaissance period, I like the ritzy, royal, luxurious feel to it. In his final collection consisting of 16 designs can be seen an inspiration from works of renaissance artists; Jean Fouquet, Sandro Boticelli, Stephan Lochner, Hans Memling, Hugo van der Goes and Hieronymus Bosch.

Boris Kustoviev- Shrovitide

A beautiful painting from 1916, old Russia in the snow- on the pancake day (pancake day is a big tradition in Russia, there are varies activities that people are used to doing, such as a public burning of a hay dummy, dancing and sledging). I absolutely love the colours in this painting- soft pink and blue sky mixed with the whiteness of the snow gives the sense of late, clear-sky afternoon, and overall atmosphere is very relaxed yet excited.
